The Carenews Story
Building the Largest Media for Social Impact in France
In 2011, at a moment when corporate social responsibility was still emerging in France, one of our managing partners co-founded Carenews.com, the first French media group dedicated to socially engaged companies, CSR/ESG practices, and the nonprofit sector.
The idea was born from a simple observation:
Companies were increasingly expected to play a role in solving social and environmental challenges, yet struggled to make their commitments visible to employees, talent, partners, media and citizens.
Carenews was created to fill that gap, and to accelerate a culture of positive impact.
Over the next decade, what began as a pioneering platform grew into the leading media reference for social commitment in France:
-
1,000,000+ annual readers
-
30,000 articles, interviews, and analyses
-
A newsroom of 10+ professional journalists
-
A trusted destination for leaders in business, philanthropy, and civil society
A defining achievement of this journey is Carenews Journal, a free print newspaper published quarterly. With 80,000 copies distributed across France and neigbouring countries, it spotlighted companies and NGOs driving social and environmental progress, alongside influential cultural and public figures committed to impact.
